Each HITCH product is accompanied with a unique serial number and mechanical class marking that allows you to quickly and accurately determine the characteristics and the type of equipment.
To simplify the determination of modes of loading, the manufacturer has developed technology for marking mechanical HITCH classes. Belonging to a specific mechanical class is indicated by different colors, the equipment used in industry to operate in conditions of high and medium loads is colored black, and corresponds to ML1-M5 classes. The equipment used in industry to operate in conditions of medium and low loads is painted in green and corresponds to the M2 class.
Class of use of the mechanism is determined by the expected total duration of operation, calculated in hours, as well as the nominal classes, shown in Table 1:

Load Mode determines the relative duration of work with the equipment in the conditions of maximum or reduced load. Table 2 shows the nominal loading modes. The nominal value of the load factor for the equipment is also determined in Table 2 (the actual value that is closest to the nominal ratio is significant).

Use of the overload protection system, the SMART Protection System, with the Hand Operated Lever Hoist LH201GSB HITCH is especially recommended for areas where it is difficult to determine weights of cargo, such as in shipbuilding and mining. The SMART Protection System independently defines lift overload and does not perform lifting. The operator can be assured of absolute safety, because when overloading is triggered the friction clutch, stop the lift, load lock fixedly will not allow it to fall. The fact that the Hand Operated Lever Hoist HITCH is equipped with an overload system is shown by the mark on the nameplate mounted on the equipment body:
This model is characterized by the letter «S» which refers to SMART in HITCH’s series of models.
The housing of the hoist is made of impact-resistant pressed steel, which guarantees long-lasting reliable operation of the equipment in the most difficult conditions. The housing of the hoist is protected against corrosion with a wear-resistant layer of powder paint, therefore the equipment is able to operate in harsh weather conditions.
Heat treated bearing plates provide the high rigidity needed to maintain the shape of the housing and the effective operation of equipment, regardless of the load on the hoist. The process of heat treatment also prevents abrasion of material during contact time between the loaded chains and side plates.

Double pawls divide the load onto opposite sides of ratchet disc. It increases safety of operator and extends life time of the hoist.

HITCH brake discs of HITCH Professional are less breakable. If brake discs on HITCH Professional hoist are worn out within three years after purchase, we replace them for free.
The chain, galvanized, calibrated and tested in the USA by Hitchlifting Inc., meets the requirements of class G80 chain strength and provides safety and a long service life of the hoist. A galvanized load chain has several advantages:
- corrosion resistance for aggressive operating environments
- the service life is much higher than a normal chain G80
- greater purity of the chain and all the hoist mechanisms
